FDC craft fair and bake sale - Friday
Support FDC's Pelotonia craft fair and bake sale fundraiser. 100% of all donations will go to cancer research at The James Cancer Center. All items are handmade and donated by Design and Construction and by Ohio State staff. Hand-crafted items will be accompanied with a card explaining the cause, making these items great gifts. This is a great opportunity to find a Mother's Day gift.
Oxleys by the Numbers Courtyard
Friday, May 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Will you be a FOD All-STAR?
The FOD All-STAR program (Special Thanks Award Recipient) is a new instant recognition program that will be launched the week of May 7.
FODAC (Facilities Operations and Development Advocacy Council) will host several events to introduce and explain the program and answer your questions. Invitations have been sent out with date and time details for your event. Contact Becca Hubbard (247-6820) with any questions.
You work hard every day, and we want you to know how much we appreciate you! This is a new way to say "thank you" ... instantly.
FOD utilities outage
The operations of Ohio State University are dependent on reliable utilities. The FOD utility outage procedures ensure that appropriate actions are taken to minimize the impact of planned or unplanned utility outages or university operations. To further facilitate proactive customer service, FOD Utilities has launched a new outage calendar designed to avoid scheduling conflicts, improve communications, and add visibility to the process. The FOD utility outage procedure is available on FODNet > Utilities Operations. Here is a direct link. Significant procedural changes include:
- Requestors can preview the outage calendar and avoid days already scheduled for an outage and/or priority work.
- Outage coordinators will set up outage appointments on the outage calendar in Microsoft Outlook.
McCracken back door being replaced
McCracken's back door, the one near the freight elevator, is being replaced on May 8-10. If anyone needs handicap assistance during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., please call Lock & Key Services at 292-1415. Delivery access will be available through the freight elevator.
A&P communications shared services
Effective Monday, May 7, the A&P Communications shared services office will be located at 208 Mount Hall. The office will house communications staff from Facilities Operations and Development, Transportation & Parking, UniPrint, and Public Safety. Campus Partners communications staff will still be located at Campus Gateway but will be closely coordinating with the rest of the team.
FOD staff should continue to contact Sharon Bierman, relocated to 208 Mount Hall, 1050 Carmack Road. Her phone number will stay the same, 292-5725. All are welcome to stop by Mount Hall to say hello or for communications needs at any time.
A&P human resources shared services

Todd Hunter will focus on providing services for Public Safety and Transportation & Parking. Laura will focus on providing human resource services for Facilities Operations and Development, Campus Partners, Physical Planning and Real Estate, and Uniprint. Both Todd and Laura will have a dual reporting relationship to Mark Evans and Cyndi Rios, Associate Vice President in Central Human Resources.

SummerFest 2012
Save the date ... Thursday, June 14, at Beekman Park.
This year's goal ... ZERO WASTE. Bins will be available for recycling, composting, and real trash.
Following the success of the Zero Waste events at the stadium with 75.3% being diverted away from the landfill, this year's SummerFest hopes to rival those numbers. Watch for more information.
Look for volunteer sign-up sheets next week.
